Airbnb for AI compute. My highest conviction play out of Torch.
This does not stay sub $10M.
AI inference is expensive and bottlenecked because almost all of it still lives in a handful of giant data centers. Meanwhile millions of high-end Macs (especially M-series) sit idle most of the day. Apple Silicon has excellent unified memory and is already what a huge portion of the AI community uses locally.
Silicon Network turns those idle Macs into a single network. Mac owners rent out spare compute. Developers hit one OpenAI-compatible API (also works with Claude/Ollama clients) and run open models like DeepSeek, Llama, Qwen, GLM, etc. cheaper than the big clouds.
Operators stake/hold $SIL to participate and get paid in $SIL as the network is used. Usage → demand for the token.
Compute tokens (Render, io.net, etc.) have already gone to nine figures. Nobody has properly pooled consumer Macs at scale yet, and the hardware is already in the hands of the exact people building in AI.
Coming out of one of the hotter launchpads, with real infrastructure already built (gateway, routing, billing, relay) and a clear path to operator payouts + access tiers, this has the setup to catch a heavy bid once Macs start coming online and real usage appears.
NFA. Early and high risk. But the thesis is clean
